Hallelujah!
The first week of kindergarten is over! I have three glorious days of rest ahead of me, and alot of chaos behind me. Some highlights of this week include:
- child yelling the "f-word" in class
- child crying all day because classmate doesn't know how to spell said child's name
- child who hasn't spoken a single word (except for the letter X) all week
- child who can't even write the first letter of her name
- children who apparently have no internal workings of their ears
- decorating my house in preparation for arrival of in-laws
- a parent hitting my car with theirs
- beginnings of a sweet illness...possibly head cold or strep (and i'm singing at church on Sunday!)
But seriously,
- only sixteen students!
- no students ran away
- sweet five year-old hugs
- a little girl who thinks the hospital can give you a new hand if you don't have one
- seeing my sweet baby P from last year (the sweetest child EVER!)
- a decorated house
- arrival of the in-laws
One week down, 35 to go!
