My Favorite Amusement Park

Yesterday during journal time, one of my kids was writing about what he is planning to do for his upcoming birthday. He asked me how to spell the word "six," which I wouldn't tell him. I like for the kids to sound the words out on their own. On Fridays we read our journal entries out loud in class, so when it was his turn to read, he read about going to Six Flags for his birthday. When he brought it up for me to check, it said,

"For my birthday I am going to Sex Flags."

I managed to keep a straight face as I told him he did a great job sounding "six" out. Then I proceeded to tell him it's actually spelled "s-I-x." :)
