A couple weeks ago, our friends Traes and Donna told us that they'd booked a carriage Christmas light tour and asked us if we wanted to go. They and their girls Arden and Maggie-Kate are so precious. Traes is the worship leader at our church, and lately we've been getting to know their family alot better. So when they asked us to go with them, of course we said yes! I'd only been on a carriage once, and I'd never been looking at Christmas lights on one! How much fun would that be? We were supposed to go last week, but we got rained out and it was rescheduled for tonight. The weather was so much better this week. Chilly, but not freezing. Let me just say that we had so much fun! We met for dinner at Chuy's first, then headed down the street for a tour of Highland park, which is a great place to look at Christmas lights. Looking at the houses themselves is just as much fun! If you aren't familiar with Dallas, Highland Park is where lots of very wealthy people live, and it's rumored to be where my good friends George and Laura will be living when they vacate the White House. :)
Anyway, we had lots of fun and it was especially fun getting to experience it with their girls. They really loved the colored Christmas lights and insisted on singing Christmas songs anytime we saw another carriage. So, we all sang along. Here are a few pictures from our fun night.
