So last weekend, Karen, Britney, and I hosted a baby shower for our friend Sarah who is having a sweet baby girl, Carrigan. We chose a storybook theme and centered the invitations, food, and favors around children's books. In lieu of a guestbook, we used the book Oh the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss and had guests write notes to baby Carrigan on the end pages. We featured food from books such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Olivia, Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type, Chester's Way, The Hallo-Wiener, Goodnight Moon, Frog and Toad Together, If You Give a Cat a Cupcake, and Peter Rabbit and had signs by each platter to explain how the food related to the book. We also sent each guest home with one of the books we featured.

Everyone had a great time and Sarah loved it. It was the perfect baby shower! So glad I could get to be a part of blessing this sweet girl and her soon to be here baby girl! Here are some of the pictures. You can click on each one to see it larger.
